Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.” - Hebrews 12:28-29 NIV
Are you being called to serve in worship? There are many ways to serve in worship: Music, leading worship, ushering, decorating and many more.
Music
Can you sing, or play an instrument? These are not the only ways to serve the Lord with music, but it's a good start:
Chancel Choir - This vocal choir is open to all adults and senior high youth. The Chancel Choir provides choral music for the 10:30 AM Worship services each Sunday, September to June. The Chancel Choir also presents special musical cantatas at Christmas and Easter. Rehearsals are held every Wednesday evening September through May at 7:00 PM. Contact: Larry Rappoldt.
Praise Team - The Praise Team provides choral music for the 10:30 am Worship Service on Sunday mornings and rehearses on Thursday evenings at 7:00 PM. Singers, or those who are gifted on instruments that lend themselves to contemporary music are welcome to contact Larry Rappoldt.
Celebration Ringers Bell Choir - This instrumental group rehearses on twice a month on Wednesday evenings, and plays once a month in Sunday morning worship services. New members always welcome. Contact: Robin Ingram
Leading in Worship
Liturgist - Every Sunday a lay person acts as Liturgist during our worship services, greeting our worshipers, leading prayers and responses, and reading Scripture lessons. Contact Virginia Brown to learn how you can help.
Anchorite - During our worship services we also have an Anchorite, who prays before and during the entire worship service, offering prayer to support those who are leading and worshiping. Contact Louise Barton to join in the prayers!
