Sunday School - For all children: infants and toddlers, preschoolers, and K-5. Elementary-aged children meet between 9:15 and 9:30 in the sanctuary for worship singing and a special message, then teachers escort them upstairs for class. Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers go directly upstairs - the rooms are open at 8:00, 9:15, and 10:30. 

 

God’s Niños - A musical Sunday morning experience for elementary-aged children in which they learn songs, play percussion instruments, and eat snacks. 10:50 in the child chapel upstairs, open to all children K-5.

 

Kingdom Kids Choir - K-5th grade, singing every 4th Sunday in 10:50 worship. Practices are Thursday nights, 6:30.

 

Family Movie Night - Every 2nd Friday of the month, 7:00. Check the church bulletin board for the name of the next movie.

 

Vacation Bible School - A five-day summer program emphasizing strong Biblical teaching, adventure, and fun.

 

 

 

Teenagers are a vital part of Covenant!

 

Together as a youth group we are learning to love God and love others together. We grow in our relationships with Christ, share our faith, and serve the community.  Anyone who is in 6th to 12th grade is invited to join!  Grab a “Narnia News” at the church to find out what is happening each week.

 

Youth Fellowship - meets Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00 p.m. for a lesson, food and games.

 

Bible Study - Small group studies are usually 6-8 weeks, and happen through out the year.  This is a great way to dig a little deeper into faith.  Keep your eye on the Narnia News for the next Bible study starting soon.

 

Sunday School - Every Sunday morning at 10:50 come enjoy some Soul Pancakes as we chew on a spiritual question each week.

 

CONFO (CONFIRMATION) - Confirmation is a time of intentional discipleship to learn what it means to be a Christian, the basics of the faith, and the history of the church.  Each student has an adult mentor.  At the end of the class, teenagers are invited to join the church.

 

Fun Events - At least once a month, a party or outing allows us to play together and get to know each other better.

 

Church Life - Other activities for all you special teenagers our Covenant Worship Band, acolytes, mission trips, and Celebration Ringers!

 

Facebook Group - Yeah! We have a Facebook group called Covenant UMC Youth Ministry.  Share pictures, encouraging words, event invitations, and information about all the last minute changes.

Small Groups - Various small groups are open to all, meeting in the church and in homes.

 

Sunday School Study Groups - Gather at 9:30 to study the word, contemporary issues, and experience fellowship.

 

Disciple Bible Studies - Survey courses which explore the Bible in a small group setting.

 

Young Adults Ministry - Gatherings, small groups, and mission efforts with young adult interests in mind.

 

United Methodist Women - The world’s largest women’s volunteer organization, focusing locally, nationally, and worldwide.

 

Elderberries - For those seniors who enjoy social, recreational, and travel experiences.

 

Parish Nurse and Caregivers Team - This team visits shut-ins, persons in hospitals, and persons in retirement facilities.

Come to an all-ages potluck party at Covenant UMC parking lot!

Join our plastic dino pal Rex as we celebrate the Autumn launch of child, youth, and adult spiritual growth ministries. Enjoy a hula hoop competition, sidewalk chalk art, t-shirt painting, bean bag toss, dino dioramas, and the anticipated "Youth Couch Demolition."

 

We believe that community includes food and fellowship. This is an opportunity for church and neighborhood to share both together. We encourage all attendees to contribute what they can to the potluck, while the church will provide burgers and dogs. Here's a quick chart to see what you can bring, arranged by last names.

At 7 pm, preschool and elementary-aged children (chaperoned by their parents/caregivers) are invited inside for a scavenger hunt. At the same time, youth will participate in a city scavenger hunt.
